At Swā, our mission is simple yet powerful: to ensure every person has access to clean and safe water. We believe that everyone deserves to drink water that is free from harmful contaminants, and we’re dedicated to making that a reality.
OUR PURPOSE
We started Swā with a clear purpose: to tackle the hidden dangers in our water supply. Many people don't realize that their tap water can harbor contaminants like lead, mercury, manganese, and copper. These pollutants can have serious health implications, especially for children and vulnerable populations. Our goal is to bridge the gap between awareness and action, providing an easy and effective way for people to test their water and protect their health.
THE PROBLEM WE'RE SOLVING
Water quality is an issue that’s often overlooked or ignored. Contaminants in water can lead to a range of health problems, from developmental delays in children to serious illnesses in adults. Many existing solutions are complicated or out of reach for average households, leaving people unaware of the risks in their own water. At Swā, we’re solving this problem by making water testing accessible, affordable, and straightforward for everyone.
WHY WE CARE
Our commitment to water safety stems from a deep concern for the well-being of our communities. We’ve seen firsthand how poor water quality can affect families and individuals, and we’re driven by the desire to make a tangible difference. We’re passionate about empowering people with the tools they need to safeguard their health and their families.
One of the standout features of Swā will be our interactive water quality map. Unlike broad and generalized water quality maps, our map will provide highly specific, direct information on water quality issues. We are currently working to build this technology, which will gather data directly from users through a QR code on our water test strip packaging. By scanning the code, users can input water quality data from their tests, allowing our map to offer precise insights into where contaminants are most prevalent, the specific types of pollutants present, and the reasons behind these issues. This tool will empower you to see exactly how your water quality compares to others and understand the specific challenges your area faces. By contributing your data, you'll be part of a collective movement to accurately identify and address water quality problems, helping everyone make more informed decisions about their water safety.
